DIR Portfolio / Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation: This portfolio focuses on measuring results and impacts, an area which DIR has emphasized from its inception. All DIR projects start with the identification of a problem area and measurement of its current impacts. When developing a strategy to address the problem, DIR establishes specific indicators against which success can be measured. If the initial strategy does not deliver the desired results, DIR will adapt the strategy or put in place a new one, once again measuring the baseline in advance of launching initiatives. The learning gained along the way is integrated into evaluation of our projects and the larger DIR program.
